Just Hi! Flora, Fauna and a New Hair Did

Spring..... These Lil' 50's Clam Shell hats are from this nutty 2-4-1 block.

The Mannequins are bathing cap models so I made a couple of "Hair Dids" for them in black felt, just to doll them up a little. The did block was another impulse buy from eBay. My bad.

The fauna part is inspired by Dali and the ant hill of a city(?) Portland Oregon.

That "two-fer" block is just wild!

It reminds me of the 'Little Shop of Horrors' man eating flower,Audrey2! PS Jill what's the name of the glue you use to fix the veiling? Just take a guess why there isn't a veil on the Flora hat.My old prickly fingers had their way with it. Thanks for your words I really enjoy your blog..and thanks again for the veiling tip!!

Yes! It's Audrey2! The mean green mother from outer space! I thought the same hahahaha!!! I must say the block is just wild and so clever, I must show it to Nina asap.

By the way, I am in love with the ant hat. You rock, period. Have you glued the ants on?

Finally, love the do-hats (you did well in buying that block) and love the mannequins and what's more the way you've so clevery set them up.

Thanks for making me smile all through the post!

Cristina

Yes, I glued those plastic ants individually with some thick glue called "Jewel It" and a pair of tweezers.

Thanks for all the smiley making words!!

I'm revisiting the "Did Hats" I made a mess of them to wear a few years ago they're some pictures of some in the blog somewhere!
