Heady Little Things

I don't know how to describe these. Not really.  The middle one is a Milliner friends find.
She suggested turning it into a 40's Turban.  I can see it draped in silk chiffon.

                      Any suggestions??

They're quite something these blocks. I know what they remind me of, but I will keep it to myself.

I agree the middle one would make a wonderful turban.

The first one has a wonderful shape, I love the way the edges curve up. Could be made into a flower hat? Something like a bluebell with a green stem added at the top... it could look sweet...

I look forward to the finished product!

I'm seeing feather pads completely covering the turban form....gosh I envy you your blocks!

Hi,
I just discovered your blog and find it marvellous! Those 3 blocks are to die for! Like some other ladies said, I would see this hat form covered with feathers, either polka dots one or small peacock one. Since the shape is so unusual, I would leave it as simple as possible and not add anything else than feathers. I would love to see the result!

Ps: I just had anther idea: For something more excentric, why not cover the hat with a pattern of paillettes?

Thank You Mon Bibi for all the nice words and suggestions,Sorry to report I've given up on these poor little felts for now. I will get back to them eventually.. I do love the paillettes idea! I do have a box full of crazy vintage shaped sequins. Thank You for the inspiration!
